Use of chènevotte, a valuable co-product of industrial hemp fiber, as adsorbent for copper ions: Kinetic studies and modeling

چکیده
In this study, a series of hemp shives (chènevotte) with different chemical compositions and properties, namely raw (SHI-R), washed water (SHI-W), three samples chemically modified KOH (SHI-OH), Na2CO3 (SHI-C) or H3PO4 (SHI-H), sample prepared by grafting carboxylic groups (SHI-BTCA), were used as adsorbents for the removal copper present in aqueous solutions. This article presents abatements kinetics obtained using batch experiments their modeling. The results first showed that quantity removed depended on initial concentration. At same experimental conditions, SHI-C SHI-BTCA possessed similar performances which are significantly higher than those other studied shives. Copper adsorption reached equilibrium after 60 min contact time was independent concentration range 5–150 mg/L SHI-BTCA. According to better Chi-squared values, data simulated non-linear kinetic model order: Lagergren < Elovich Ho McKay Weber Morris Boyd analysis indicated chemisorption is main mechanism binding onto SHI-BTCA, while physisorption (diffusion) interaction SHI-C. adsorption-oriented process could be an advantageous approach recovering from metal industry effluents due simplicity process, its efficiency treat both diluted concentrated solutions, low-cost, non-toxic humans environment, ecological character, facile use

postnatal studies of bats (pipistrellus kuhlii and miniopterus schreibersii) & histomorphology and histochemistry studies of organs and diseases of (neurergus microspilotus and n. kaiseri)
1. to determine whether difference in birth body mass influenced growth performance in pipistrellus kuhlii we studied a total of 12 captive-born neonates. bats were assigned to two body mass groups: light birth body mass (lbw: 0.89 ± 0.05, n=8) and heavy birth body mass (hbw: 1.35 ± 0.08, n=4). heavier body mass at birth was associated with rapid postnatal growth (body mass and forearm length) ...
